Due to my ongoing disability, I was unable to attend the annual Site Unseen exhibition at the Chicago Cultural Center even though I was its primary curator from 2004-2009. Seeking a work-around, Claire Geall Sutton suggested I make myself available to the visiting patrons via video conferencing. What emerged was a collaborative piece in which Clover Morell and I set up a system whereby she became the conduit for my words, allowing me to interact with the audience in real time. While Clover was physically present and interacting with the viewers, a large video image of me was projected into the theatre on a 20 foot screen behind her which the whole audience could view simultaneously.
